Assistant Front Desk Manager

The I Hotel and Conference Center is seeking an Assistant Front Desk Manager with the following qualities and qualifications:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Direct, oversee, and manage daily Front Desk operations; assist staff as needed
  • Lead, supervise and develop front desk staff
  • Verify that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated to housekeeping and maintenance staff
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, training and performance management of Front Desk team members
  • Resolve guest problems calmly and efficiently, provide crisis management in a time of guest need
  • Ensure implementation of all hotel policies and procedures to Front Desk Staff
  • Attend various meetings and hotel functions as relating to the Front Office function in lieu of Hotel and Guest Services Manager; assist in conducting regular department meetings
  • Oversee all areas of hotel operation in the absence of senior management
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Hotel and Guests Services Manager and President

 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years previous hotel management experience required; 4-5 years preferred
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Works well in a fast-paced high volume work environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintaining the superior cleanliness of the facility
  • Strong work ethic and attention to details
  • Flexible work schedule, available to work weekdays and weekends
  • Competency in computer skills
  • Good driving record required
  • Some physical labor will be required
