The staff provided outstanding customer service for the event that was held on April 13. I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went considering the staff only had a couple of days notice to plan this meeting. I plan to host other events at the I Hotel.

I hold the Illinois Conference Center and University of Illinois Catering staff in the highest regard. Our recent Champaign County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner featuring Karl Rove was a complex event due to the number of attendees, time demands, and security issues.  The iHotel, Conference Center, and University of Illinois catering staff went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met in each of these areas.

Emily was indispensable in planning the details and logistics of this event. Rich Millar’s team did a fantastic job in promptly serving our guest with a beautiful meal that was of the highest quality and well-priced.

I was extremely happy with all the staff involved with this event.  Amanda, Whitney and Rich are wonderful and very good at what they do.  It is refreshing to work with people that were so polite, professional, understanding, and accommodating. Amanda kept me informed as well as made sure that our last minute changes were completed without a glitch.  Her presences at the event providing me with a high level of comfort because I knew she was there to help in anyway.   Rich helped me with the selection of the food choices and they were superb.  The presentation of the food was so great that people took pictures and they commented, “The food looked so good; I didn’t want to eat it!”  The ice sculpture was amazing!  I commend the I-Hotel for hiring great staff and providing high quality services.  I would defiantly use the I-Hotel again and highly recommend it to others.  Thanks again I-Hotel staff for everything!

This event was even better than I thought it could be.  The entire staff at the hotel was absolutely fantastic.  Emily and Peter took great care of us during the event and Rob and his staff served the marvelous food and our cake.  I can’t say enough wonderful things about them. I was so impressed when I walked into our meeting room yesterday, it was beautiful!  The floral centerpiece on the buffet table was exquisite.  Katy was a very gracious hostess, as was the entire staff.  At least 4 staff members stopped by to ask if I needed assistance. We had a wonderful time at your facility yesterday.  Some of my teachers didn’t want to leave when it was time to go!  We’ll be back soon. Thanks so much for the great service.

Thank you so much for making a “nervous” experience more
 relaxing and enjoyable.  I was a presenter at the conference last week
end and was apprehensive about my Power Pt. presentation due to the video
 and audio clips that were embedded in the slide show.  Nigel took the 
time to test my presentation and saved it on your laptop the night 
before.  I was so relieved that it was successful that I was able to get 
a good night’s sleep in your comfortable bed!  The front desk was also
 very helpful in making breakfast accommodations for us the next morning.
 All the staff members we came in contact with were extremely helpful and 
made our stay more relaxed and enjoyable.

Guest’s Reason of Visit: Conference Center Event, Downstate Nonprofit Conference
Last week I stayed at the I Hotel for 2 1/2 days, during the Downstate Nonprofit Conference, so I had plenty of time to experience all aspects of your hotel.  My room was clean and comfortable; the meeting facilities were perfectly arranged for what we needed to do and the food was outstanding (especially the mushroom soup — do you share the recipe?).  

But what impressed me most of all was your staff.  They found me a power cord when I discovered I had packed my laptop without one, pointed me to great local restaurants and shuttled me around and were all-around friendly and helpful in countless ways.  Such high levels of service and consistency do not happen by accident, so this note is a compliment not only to them, but to you for putting together and supporting such a great team.  

Thank you for making my stay so productive and comfortable.

Guest’s Reason of Visit: Wedding
My husband and I thought the iHotel was GREAT!  I was so exhausted after being in the wedding on Saturday and when we got back to the room, the temperature of the room was perfect, the shower (& Rusk toiletries) was great, and the bed was so comfortable that I probably could have slept in until Noon the following morning. 



On Sunday, we had to travel to my parent’s house, which is 1 & ½ hours away, to pick up my son, so we just wanted to grab something quick for breakfast.  Then, I remembered that we had the free pastry/coffee card for Starbucks.  That was a FANTASTIC amenity that we really enjoyed.



 We will definitely stay at the iHotel if we ever need accommodations in Champaign again.  I will also make sure to pass along my experience to potential faculty candidates who are staying in the area.

“Our IT assistant, Prat, was very friendly and helpful I making sure our video needs were met and then when we had some unexpected needs ith audio, she met our needs and even went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The catering service did an excellent job with the presentation and were very gracious in having to deal with a delay in our lunch time due to the tardiness of our Board members. The staff at the I Hotel and Convention Center has been very helpful. The other day I met with Whitney and Lynn who were extremely helpful. If there’s been any problem it’s been on my part getting accurate numbers for the ladies. They have been very patient with me.

Again, kudos to everyone who has helped me organize the breakfast. Because of them this will be a day to remember for kids from all over the county.

Also, many thanks to the catering staff. The food and drink were outstanding. Recruiters enjoyed the opportunity to sit down to a nice lunch instead of a standard box lunch that is so often served at career fairs.
