Matt Blume graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a concentration in Hospitality Management. En route to his degree, Matt began working at the I Hotel and Conference Center as a Guest Service Agent in 2011. Upon graduating, Matt began his management career and progressed through positions at the hotel front desk as Shift Manager, Front Desk Manager, and Assistant General Manager and within Houlihan’s as a bartender, Front of House Manager and currently serves as General Manager.
One of Matt’s favorite aspects of working at I Operations, LLC has been developing relationships with new and returning guests and learning about them and their experiences. Matt consistently does everything in his power to make each guest’s stay special.

Maribel has been with I Operations, LLC since before the facility opened in 2008 and currently serves as the Auditor and General Manager of Housekeeping. Maribel is responsible for the administration of all Audit tasks insuring the facility exceeds our required standards. She is also responsible for the administration of the Housekeeping department, including assisting our Executive Housekeeper with managing staff, facility improvements, and maintaining professional and technical knowledge, ensuring a top-notch guest experience. Maribel has held positions as a Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper. Her background, constant attention to detail, and assistance in improving the facility has led to her success with the I Hotel and Conference Center.
Megan began her career at I Operations, LLC in 2012 as Conference Center Sales Associate and has since been promoted to Conference Center Sales Manager, Conference Center Sales Director and currently serves as I Hotel and Conference Center Sales Director. In her current role, she works very closely with the sales team and the President to book events, manage rates, and make the best possible experience for all of our guests. Megan’s positive and can-do attitude has lead her and her team to great success.
Kiley has served as the Events Director at the Illinois Conference Center for the past three years. Prior to becoming the Events Director, she was an Event Coordinator for four and a half years. Kiley enjoys the challenges that come with her job as well as the rewards. She enjoys building relationships with guests and meeting new people – perfecting each event along the way. Recently, the I Hotel and Conference Center was named winner in The Knot Best of Weddings 2018. The I Hotel and Conference Center and Kiley were honored to receive this prestigious award, as it places the facility among the top 3% of venues in the nation. Kiley and her team pride themselves in the efforts put forth to make each event special and unique.
Before beginning her career at the I Hotel and Conference Center, Chrysann worked in multiple hotels and was responsible for various tasks. After hearing that the I Hotel and Conference Center was being built, she sent her resume and joined the team shortly thereafter. Chrysann is one of the few employees who has been with I Operations, LLC since before the doors opened and is still working with us today. Chrysann’s hard work helped the facility open smoothly and today, it continues to contribute to the success of the hotel front desk. Chrysann’s attention to detail greatly impacts the superior organization of the front office.
Robert has been with the I Hotel and Conference Center since October 2008. As lead Guest Service Agent, Robert maintains the shuttle vehicles, completes arrival calls, and upkeeps the front exterior of the hotel among his various responsibilities. The I Hotel and Conference Center is proud of Robert and his accomplishments at and outside of work. In 2013, Robert graduated from Eastern Illinois University at the age of 50. This is just an example of his willingness to learn and expand on his horizons! We are proud of Robert!
In 2008, Tripper Carter began working at I Operations, LLC as a host at Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar. Seven months later, he transitioned into a Conference Attendant at the Illinois Conference Center and remained in that position for nearly two years. In December of 2010, Tripper became a Guest Service Agent at the I Hotel. During his three-year tenure at I Operations, LLC, Tripper stood out as an exceptional worker who consistently served as a role model for his prompt willingness to do anything asked of him in addition to his hard work and enthusiasm.
Tripper’s work ethic, customer service and passion for the hospitality industry allowed him to excel in the rigorous Purdue University Hospitality and Tourism Management program. While in school, Tripper held externships and internships at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Marcus Hotels & Resorts, worked as a Griffin Corps Server at Westwood Estate, and also maintained the title of VIP Club Supervisor at Levy Restaurants. After graduating in 2015, Tripper moved to Scottsdale, Arizona for a Residence Club Manager In Training position at the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort. Currently, Tripper serves as the Residence Club Assistant Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel and Resort, Scottsdale – a huge accomplishment.
